Ø Click on Add devices. A drop-down list displays all the devices that can be mirrored.
Ø Select the TV name then the laptop will start mirroring. The TV name is saved in the connected devices list of the laptop for future use.
Apple MacBook's use Airplay for wireless connectivity. A smart TV with wireless connectivity to other devices is required for this to work. The devices connected through mirroring should be connected to the same wireless network.
Wired connection of laptop or PC to a TV:-
Having a smart TV is not necessary for connecting a laptop or PC through cables. Having an HDMI port on the laptop/PC and TV is necessary for a wired connection. The TV can be used for mirroring or as an extended screen for multitasking.
Steps to connect:
- Connect the TV to the laptop or PC using the HDMI cable.
- Change the source of the TV to an HDMI port using the TV remote control.
A laptop or PC can be connected to the TV using any of the above steps to enhance the viewing experience.
